Karen Lotter’s career in accounting and financial advisory is built on a strong foundation of qualifications and specialised expertise. An Affiliate of CAANZ and an SMSF Specialist Adviser, Karen also holds a Diploma in Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Financial Administration, equipping her with the technical skills and insights needed to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Karen specialises in SMSF tax advice and the structuring of family groups, bringing invaluable expertise to Macquarie Business Accountants (MBA). Following a strategic merger with CTC Accountants in March 2024, Karen and her team transitioned seamlessly into MBA, driven by shared client service philosophies and synergistic staffing structures. This collaboration has enabled Karen to deliver enhanced support through MBA’s extensive resources and client-focused environment.

MBA’s distinction lies in its robust business service orientation. As the largest accounting practice in the area, it offers clients timely responses and access to a wealth of expertise. Karen is committed to providing a holistic approach that extends beyond tax concerns, focusing on financial well-being, identifying opportunities for improvement, and building a solid wealth base for her clients.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time at the beach with her surf-loving family, stand-up paddleboarding, and exploring the stunning coastline.
